Biography:
Tempest Leake is an Instructional Coach for the New Teacher Support Program (NC NTSP) who supports teachers by building on their strengths, establishing positive relationships, and providing individualized guidance to obtain and sustain a positive classroom environment for both students and teachers.
Tempest has supported students and teachers in various roles including teaching 9-12 Science, being a Testing Coordinator, Instructional Facilitator, and as an Administrator . Currently she supports her teachers through the consistent use of reflections and feedback to enhance her teachers present knowledge and practices.
Tempest attained strong recognition as an accomplished teacher for using creative approaches and emerging technologies in delivering quality lessons and improving students’ social interactions and behavior. Tempest holds a Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership from Gardner-Webb University. She completed her undergraduate degree at NC State University.
When she is not in classrooms, Tempest can be found writing, reading, dancing, giving back to her community, and enjoying time with family and friends.
