Biography:
Alicia Sledge is a New Teacher Support Coach for the New Teacher Support Program (NC NTSP) who supports students learning by providing personalized guidance, feedback, and resources to improve instructional practices. Alicia believes in the power of personalized learning, social emotional learning and the use of technology to enhance learning and promote continuous improvement in our teachers and students.
Alicia has supported teaching in K-12 and across all content areas. Her passions include supporting ML’s in all content areas, math instruction and social emotional learning. Currently she is working towards supporting new teachers across the Charlotte region in planning, instruction and assessment.
Alicia is licensed in Early Childhood (Birth-K), Elementary Education, English as a Second Language and School Administration. Alicia holds a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from UNC Greensboro and a masters degree in Educational Leadership from Queens University.
When she is not supporting new teachers, Alicia can be found spending time with her son, Brayden. She enjoys spending time outdoors, doing arts and crafts and video editing.
